US Goverment critises new .COM alternatives13-Apr-2009 US government has criticized the new plans for offering various new web addresses to substitute .com domain names.The web addresses are supervised by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers that is planning for some new changes in the current naming and address system. However, the utilization as well as the cost of this plan has been inquired by the US Commerce department. Similarly, other US official have also shown concerns that these new plans may destabilize the existing website address system.The US government responded to those two letters that were sent independently by officials who had concerned about the new scheme.back Go Back |
